The boys trained hard this year and we saw great improvement!!! Congratulations to all the boys, we are proud of you all! Just a few of the notable results from the state meet include our Level 5 Boys Team taking 2nd place in the 10-11 age group, second place all-around for Preston in Level 5(8-9), and gold medal for Luke in Level 5 (10-11) on the pommel horse.
We look forward to working hard this summer in preparation for next years competitive season.
Our Coaches
SGA is excited about our boys program staff. From the Pre-Team program to the Optional program the coaches have a strong background of gymnastics experience.
Mark Seyler
An Alumni of University of Oklahoma gymnastics, Mark has been part of a unique group of gymnast. His leadership abilities and coaching skills have allowed athletes to flourish as gymnast. Technically sound as a coach, Mark is able to break down skills to aid the athletes into learning them.
Jason Heartsfield
A part of the sport from very young, Jason has made gymnastics part of his life. As a high school gymnast at L.D. Bell and part of the gymnastics team at Texas A&M, Jason has developed a niche for coaching and developing athletes through the ranks. Jason is often found helping the students learn through watching themselves on video and learning the technical side of the elements.
Courtney Hughes
Courtney has made her way into boys gymnastics, something that she always wanted to have a hand in since she started coaching. Coming from the girl's gymnastics arena she brings a unique aspect to the boys. Always willing to learn and teach she has been a great addition to our boys program.
